Day 36

July 4, 2017
Happy Fourth of July.  We’ve now celebrated two countries holidays, Canada Day (their 150th)was July 1.  We departed Teslin with 48 degrees and rain.  On the way out we passed the Wildlife Expo building with some animals advertising the place and it had a great view of the bridge at Teslin.

Our drive was only 105 miles today with a stop at Johnson’s crossing for the cinnamon rolls, turnovers and scones.  This was our breakfast today.

Arriving 8 miles south of Whitehorse in the rain at Pioneer RV Park we got fuel then settled into our site, pretty tight, had some lunch in the Unity then off to find a coin laundry.  It was a good ways north of Whitehorse but we found it and with the help of a young man washing his stuff we got the machines to work.  Took a long time but we had our kindles, so all was well.  Returning to the campground we put away all our laundry and got ready for the evening’s activity.  We had postponed our wine and cheese party from last night so we combined that into a 4th of July plus anniversary celebration for our leader.  They laid on some great cheese, wine from BC, fruits and crackers.  It was a good time with each couple relating how they met and then their most memorable RV trip.  Some funny stories.

Back to the coach and made up the bed with our fresh sheets and we were shortly gone.
