Day 25

June 23, 2017
Left the Fairmont Hot Spring RV Resort about 9:30 AM and continued north.   The scenery was awesome.  We entered Kootenay National Park passing Radium Hot Springs.  We had lots of long lines of cars for construction, some 20 vehicles and some 20 minutes wait.  At one we talked to the young lady that was the flag-person and Iris took her photo in case that was the only wildlife we saw today.

We got in another line but this time it was not construction but cars stopped for the group of Big Horn Sheep walking down the yellow center line.

Then another line for the Mountain Goats beside the road.

We crossed from British Colombia into Alberta today.  As mentioned the scenery was awesome.  Some of the photos:

Just as we turned off the Trans-Canada Highway we encountered some mule deer.

We arrived at the Tunnel Mountain Village Campground near Banff and after some to and froing we got the site we wanted with full hookups instead of just power they originally put us in.  For lunch we got out the grill and fixed some HEB steaks and a salad - really enjoyed them.  We drove into the village of Banff and did a little shopping  before returning to our Unity for happy hour, some supper and downloading our photos for the day.
