Day 96

We had some catching up to do on the vehicles this morning.  First the motorhome needed a good interior cleaning after all the dirt and gravel roads in Alaska and Canada so we did that. Then, even after going through the car wash with the Fit, we still had dirt around the doors so cleaned all five and inside.  We then tried for a supermarket but ended up at a local convenience market. That didn’t quite do it so we then tried a GPS location for  Walmart and we ended up in the center of downtown Portland and had to go back north in order to avoid a bridge closed over the river to get to the “hill”.  Finally got back and wonder how anyone finds their way around Portland.  Liz and Steve came over for a visit in the afternoon then we bravely drove over the river to meet them and their friends from Tuscon, Chuck and Barbara, at Noble Rot Restaurant.  Not sure how it got the name but we had a good evening visiting, eating and testing their wines.  We had to return to the “hill” the same route we had used earlier to get back across the river.  Back to the Unity and early to bed.
